In the greenery of the Po Delta Natural Park
At the mouth of the Po di Goro, on the Island of Love, the Lighthouse of Goro was recently renovated by the company Dieci Cento Mille Pensieri srl, awarded the public tender "Valore Paese Lighthouses, towers and coastal buildings", for the enhancement of the itself for tourism purposes. This company was already active in the sector with the accommodation facility called “La Cueva del Faro” located in Gorino Ferrarese.
Today we offer a stay inside the lighthouse with double bedrooms with private bathrooms and a restaurant service that boasts traditional cuisine that has always been homemade.
A project to relaunch the Goro lighthouse
Built in 1950 to replace the nineteenth-century Lanterna Vecchia, the Goro lighthouse is about 22 meters high and is surmounted by a lantern that creates a 10-mile beam of light.
Adjacent to the lighthouse is the "guardian's house", now transformed into a reception point.
The project to enhance the lighthouse on the Isola dell'Amore di Goro was followed by the legal representative of the company, Erik Scabbia, and by his accountant, dr. Giampiero Rubbi, and began in the autumn of 2016 with the presentation of the same to the Agenzia del Demanio, for the tender concluded in the spring of 2021.
The lighthouse, in addition to being currently in use by sailors, has been transformed into an elegant accommodation facility consisting of a restaurant, bar and five double bedrooms, open all year round.
