Il Faro di Goro is a restaurant and hotel located in a quiet location in the heart of the Po Delta Natural Park, at the mouth of the Po di Goro, on the Isola dell'Amore (Island of Love). As well as being used by sailors, this historic lighthouse has been made into accommodation that today hosts many customers from all over Italy and abroad.

In the lush greenery of the Po Delta Natural Park
At the mouth of the Po di Goro, on the Isola dell'Amore, Il Faro di Goro was recently renovated by Dieci Cento Mille Pensieri srl. This company was awarded the "Country Value programme for lighthouses, towers and coastal buildings" public tender to renew these buildings for tourism. Dieci Cento Mille Pensieri srl already operated in the industry, having worked on “La Cueva del Faro” hotel, in Gorino Ferrarese.
Today we offer accommodation in our lighthouse with double rooms with private bathrooms and a restaurant that offers traditional, home-made dishes.
A project to relaunch the Goro lighthouse
Having been built in 1950 to replace the nineteenth-century Lanterna Vecchia (old Lanterna lighthouse), the Goro lighthouse is about 22 metres high and is topped by a light omitting a 10-mile beam of light.
Right beside the lighthouse is the "Guardian's House", which has now been transformed into a welcome area.
The project to develop the lighthouse on the Isola dell'Amore di Goro was followed by Erik Scabbia, the company's legal representative, along with his accountant, Giampiero Rubbi. It began in autumn 2016 when it was also presented for tender to the Demanio agency, which ended in the spring of 2021.
As well as being currently in use by sailors, our lighthouse has been transformed into a beautiful hotel including a restaurant, a bar and five double rooms. It is open all year round.
